剧情简介
Gwen grows up with her romantic mo ther constantly tell ing her the story of he r courtsh ip and marriage to her father. Nick grows up with an alcoholic father who can't hold a job and whose family, as a result, is force d t o move all the time. The two are s haped by this - Gwen a romantic and Nick withdrawn, unsure of himself - as they watch the hugely po pular sixties sit com, One Big Happy Fa mily. Years later, it is the star of that show, now a child actor gone bad with a history of detox and people always saying , I thought she was dead, Francesca Lanfield, who c onnects the two of t hem, after ye ars of near-misses and almost encou nters. Gwen is hired to gho st-wri t e Francesca's autobiography, while Ni ck, becoming her lover, is th e arc hit ec t who is to desi gn a building on Francesca's property. When Gwen decid es to crusade to save Fran cesca's building, she writ es l etters to the newspaper wh ich catch es Nick's attention - and wins his heart.
