剧情简介
One of the five s ci-fi's I remember ev ery single detail of fr om my earliest days as a fan. For the genre, I think it's considerably above average. The moor i s nicely atmospher ic. There's one o f every character in the book : the good guy, the bad guy, the loca l sh eriff, the lovely damsel, her fat her the old professor, etc . The scene where we'r e looking for the f irst time th ro ugh the window of the ship and the vis itor peeks out from the ot her side is easily as g ood as the three-fingered-hand-on-the-shoulder in Wa r of the Worlds. Nice &quo t;character&quo t; to the visitor, f or wh om , like Karloff's Frankenstei n, we end up feeling some empathy .
