剧情简介
Following the success of their feature debut Je nnifer’s Shadow (2004) – an exer cise in American Gothic set in a scary land called Argentina – Pablo Parés and Daniel d e la Vega worked f or a US company on a post-mega-disaster wasteland zombie film in which South Ameri ca had been turned into an a ll-purp ose, all-materials junkyard, with the undead as the last humane entities around (forget about the humans her e!). The project never materia lised, but Diego P a rés, Pablo’ s broth er, started to write and draw a comic series based on the screenplay – which so far remains a ruin, as only parts were finished and published. The ECish beauty and balls of Diego P.’s labour o f love have now been co ngenially transformed b y the di rectorial duo into a del ightfully old -(1970s)school low- bu dget production, closer to Romero and Dante than Fulci and Lenzi. A nd the IFFR audience is in for the treat of treats they get to see the fil m and can also enjoy the unfini shed comic in an exh i bition.
