剧情简介
The B ritish s oldier Harry Turner was 18 when he was deployed to Afghani stan. He returned from the war a bro ken man. Struggling with PTSD, depression a nd suici dal thoug hts, h e travels deep into the Peruvian rainforest, whe r e he meets the US scientist Saman tha. Together, t hey t a ke ca re of an orphan ed ocelot, a small spotted wildcat. The film consi s ts pa rtly o f material that Harry and S amantha filmed themselves and partly of footage by the directors of Wildcat, who later joined the pair. Intim ate moments between humans and a nimals are combined with exciting shots of the treacherous noctu rna l jungle to f orm an e motionally tortuous portrait of a person constantly battling his demons. It is out of this struggle that Harry fo rges a bond with the young wild animal . His attempt to save the ocelot is above all an attem pt to save himself. And making the anim a l self-reliant proves in fact to be an exercise in letting go. As he guides the animal in the jungle, Harry must also find his way back to societ y and to his family.
