剧情简介
A car left on a leve l crossing causes a crash which kil ls fifteen people though the driver cannot be found . Initially the police, le d by Nata lie C ha ndler's replacement, the recently promoted Wes Leyton, suspect the car own er, the unpleasant Michael Ge nnis, but le arn that t he car was stolen and the actual driver, Finn Tyler, intended to kill himself b y driving onto the track but su rvived. Jake Thorne is anxious to prosecute for murder but Tyler's lawyer, Kate Barker, puts up a case of diminished resp onsibility by reason of insanity though the case is found. Shortl y aft erwards Tyler is found dead in his cell and suspicion falls on D.S. Sam Casey, bein g his last known visitor. Jake also learns that Kate is to join the prosecuti on team.
