剧情简介
When troub led war veteran Jerry Burton and his sister Joanna relocate to the qu i et little villag e of Lymstock in or der to a llow Jerry to recu perate from inj uries receive d in wha t he claims i s a motorcy cle accident, they are e xpec ting nothing more than country sleepiness an d tedium. Mu ch to their surprise, however, they find t hemselves embr oiled in th e middle of scandal a nd se crets; someon e is sending vici o us poison-pen letters to the residents. A local di gnit ar y ha s already taken his own life over the let ters, and it's not long b efo r e local gossip Mona Symmington a lso commits suicide after receivin g a letter. But when the letter -writer apparently resorts to murder, Jerry finds his curiosity stoked despite himsel f, and he& #39;s not the only one; Miss J ane Marple is also in Lymstoc k , and s he's decided that it's long pas t time someone got to th e b o ttom of this unpleasant business.
