剧情简介
The workers of a se lf-managed t ea factory decide to go against the grain and play by their own rules . The problem is, how can you plan, work and surv iv e in a world d riven by ruthless competition? One day at a time, for instance. I n a world ruled by profit and dominated by the expl oitation of the weaker one s, the film literally offers an al t ernative set o f ways about how to think our futu re and the means and too ls to work for it. It is not an easy j ob but, as Taste of Hope carefully and precisely shows, there is sti l l a lot that can be done if we chan ge ou r re lationship to pr oduction and labor. Instead of making gra nd gestures or political s tatements, the filmmaker works with the camera and with a thoughtful editing in order to understand how to weave together new possibilities of communal existenc e. The result is a superbly crafted observation al exercise. A littl e manu al of self-defense an d resistance i n the face of a n eoliberalism that wishes for workers to keep their h eads down. A taste of hope indeed.
