剧情简介
Fran has had a pen pal named Lenny since the first grade. Fran and Le nny, through their lette rs, get along famously, almost like boyfriend/girl friend. They agreed ear ly on n ever to exchange p hotographs, but Lenny, coming to New York, wants to meet Fran in person. Maxwell is anxious to meet Lenny a s he feels he's in competition with Lenny. Fran, on the other hand, is nervous t o meet Lenny as she has exaggerated who "Fran Fine" is in her letters. But Fra n agrees to meet Lenny at the Russian Tea Room, each ide ntifying the other by the re d rose worn on their lapel s . Again, Maxwell is a nxious to se e Lenny, and accompanies Fran to the Russian Tea Room an d stay s with her until Lenny shows up. Fran a nd Maxwell are having a nic e enough "date" of their own while they wait f or Lenny, so nice that Fran almost doesn't care if Len ny shows up or not.
