剧情简介
Bipedalism, or 'two-foote d walking', i s the story of a painter who grew up in an orphan age and only years later learns the circumstances of his father's disappearance and death. Childhood memories bring the m ain character back to the past he buys a house in t he suburbs that used to belong to his family . In the basem ent, he finds h is fa ther 's archives and scientific research documents on the hybridization of huma n race with related biological species. Stud ying the archive material, he unexpectedly finds evidence of efforts to renew the experiments o n the remaining hybrid po pulatio n. The painte r then becomes a researcher, and consequently a victim. The basic idea of his fath er's r esearch was to change, control and influence the process of human evolution - initially connected with eu genics theories of the period befo re World War II, and now being placed i n a context of m odern 'biotechnological' expectations by his former colleagues. The ma in character tries to recreate and realize his f ather's he ritage, who was forced to cooperate wit h s tate terror orga nizations, using the results of his secret research. In a tragic manner, this information turns into the main character's reality, at first forcing him to reappraise his father's va lues and later driving him t o m adness.
