剧情简介

The students worked both in front of and behind the camera, restaging scenes of strikes, res istance, and labour disputes fro m films dating from the late 1960s to the late 1970s, including ones by Jean-Luc Godard and Alain Tanner. Nos dé fait es ass embles the re sults, and adds interview s in whic h the director queries the students ab out the scenes they’ve just acted in, abo ut such concepts as “clas s,” “labour union,” and “pol itical engage ment,” about wider soci al contexts. It’s a simple, yet trenchant s etup, affording viewers a glimpse of how a younger generation sees politics and the political cinema of the past. The film also documents the director’s attempts to s tir up the students. The conversations vary between encounters in which director a nd students seem on an equal footing, based on more teacher-like question ing by the never-visible dire ctor, and contemplations of revolution in the here and now: t he performance of an uprising follows reflectio n upon the same.
